ETHIO SONG

So stumbled across this pretty cool thing today; the band Amen Dunes collated a new 7″, with two original, forever uncredited Ethiopian pop songs and then their own covers of each. I have to admit, I prefer the originals. No offense dudes, but there’s some inherent charm in something so unexpected and, probably, once thought lost. Unknown’s ‘Ethio Song I’ is a long gestating piece but one that weaves a rapid tapestry of audial bliss. It’s a very relaxing song that allows the mind to drift off and float away, well worth eight minutes of your time.
