DON’T EVEN

Whoa. It must be some kind of zoodoo shit ingrained in certain producer’s laptops when they churn out a song that makes you feel kind of giddy, light-headed and nauseous all at the same time and Soleman does just that. “Don’t Even” is more than a touch different in comparison to the other tracks over at his soundcloud and is undoubtedly the stand-out effort. It reminded me of this segment from Truman Capote’s novel Other Voices, Other Rooms; “…with the garbage of loneliness stuffed down us until our guts burst bleeding green, we go screaming round the world, dying in our rented rooms, nightmare hotels, eternal homes of the transient heart.” This is the sound of that transition, the noise of the anxious and nervous state that life can often inhabit. I’ve probably already said too much.
