I had the pleasure of watching Lower Dens perform live at Abbey Road for the studio’s “Debuts” series on Channel 4 last summer and it’s great to hear a new glimpse of their forthcoming Nootropics LP through “Brains”; a far-out juggernaut of a track, that builds and builds and builds. It feels like the sound is transcending something, more than just some punk-y barrage of noise, it’s strangely beautiful. Cop this must-have below.
