Announcing this latest single earlier on in the day, alt-J are already staking a claim to having an ace 2012 with aplomb. Compared to previous, more laid-back efforts like “Breezeblocks” and “Matilda”, “Fitzpleasure” seems a dark, brooding song, that leaks forth with stark noise and a deep bassline, that crossed with those still striking vocals makes for something unmissable.
