I don’t care what you say, Lana Del Rey’s “Video Games” was/is one of the stand out tracks of the year and this remix treatment from the arguably lesser of the three dubstep Jamies, Blake and xx are another level to be fair, channels it’s titular reference more than the original (apart from the video’s visual signifiers) could ever do. Her vocals, despite infrequently pitch-shifted are still as touching and coupled with a strong sense of claustrophobia, which is probably Woon’s greatest achievement here, makes for an striking take on a 2k11 classic.
