DON’T GO TRYNA TELL ME

The great folks at Daytrotter today put up a lovely session from one of this blog’s favourite acts, London duo Mount Kimbie, that was recorded at this year’s SXSW. Giving their sound an echoy, sporadic feel, this live session is a nice taster of what they’re like when performing and it just sounds great. For me, the real highlight is my personal favourite “Maybes” (Download below) which luckily features a recurring live element of member Kai Campos singing a jumbled, yet emotionally resonating half-sentence that sounds as heartfelt as ever.
