THE BREAKS

The weirded-out electro from Janine Rostron, a.k.a. Planningtorock, has really struck out it’s own centre in the blogosphere of late. Hype for her album W has reached boiling point, with a stream on Hype Machine and Rough Trade hosting not only an in-store from Rostron but offering a exclusive bonus disc if you buy it from them. “The Breaks”, whose video I’ve previously featured, has recently been released as a free download and I’m putting that up here because it’s simply one of my favourite tracks from this year.
