EYES BE CLOSED

Ernest Greene, better known under his Washed Out moniker, the godfather of what is/was termed “chillwave” is back with this slick new song from his upcoming debut album (provocative artwork above) to be released on July 11th with Sub Pop/Weird World. Still packing lush, summer-defining synths and drowned-out vocals that seem to bubble under the surface as one of many layers to Greene’s soundscapes, “Eyes Be Closed” is definitely an evolution of the Washed Out sound that makes the forthcoming LP an even more tantalizing prospect.
