QUICK DOWNLOAD: Wavves + Zach Hill – Horse Shoes
Nathan Williams, a.k.a. Wavves, is one of the most generous musicians on Twitter out there. He just spread the love again with this song “Horse Shoes”, one of many recorded with legendary drummer Zach Hill. An album that the pair recorded was dropped in favor of William’s third effort King of the Beach but has had it’s relese henceforth teased yet never confirmed. Other than a Daytrotter recording session and the video for “Hula Hoop” below, not much has been heard. Fingers crossed it sees the light of day this year. The song itself is a remarkably slow, calmed affair, yet with a recognisable and hectic drum pattern, coupled with William’s drones and “ooooohs” you see a nice coming together of elements. If the rest of this lost album is like this, well, I’m all ears. The skating at the end is a nice touch too.
