AHHH SHIT: James Blake – Limit To Your Love (Dauwd Remix)

Ahhh Shit is a recurring post on any new band, song or video that has recently grabbed my attention. Yes, the title is a reference to the opening of “Potholderz” by MF Doom.

A track you definitely need to hear. It’s apparently unfinished but it already sounds sublime. A friend showed me Dauwd’s SoundCloud page and of course, this gem immediately stood out. It instantly makes Blake’s brilliant single sound a little like his prior EP work, or like Mount Kimbie, but more spaced out and probably more chilled out that anything else I’ve heard this year. You should check out Dauwd’s page, though because there’s more sparse, relaxing, beat-fuelled tracks that I’m sure you’ll enjoy.
