AHHH SHIT: Algodon Egipcio – Weird Feelings (Male Bonding Cover)

Ahhh Shit is a recurring post on any new band, song or video that has recently grabbed my attention. Yes, the title is a reference to the opening of Potholderz by MF Doom.

This brilliant cover by Venezuelan-native Cheky, a.k.a Algodon Egipcio, is going to be released in the coming month as part of Male Bonding’s limited-to-300 Nothing Remains 7″ which is also features a previously unreleased song by the lo fi trio. The cover version of one of my favourite songs from their album Nothing Hurts is a brilliantly laid-back, chilled out rendition that takes the lyrical “Weird Feelings” to a more spaced out extreme.
