back from reading – quick summary

It being possibly the best weekend of the year, such good fun, other than a couple of cuntish downsides, it was brilliant all round.

I saw, in order;
Friday
Danananakroyd
about 10 minutes of The Ghost of A Thousand
The Virgins
a little of New Found Glory
Little Boots (Yes, she was very good)
The Horrors
Jack Penate
Florence and the Machine
Friendly Fires
half an hour of Jamie T
Kings of Leon

Saturday
Pulled Apart By Horses
The Rakes
hardly any of Enter Shikari (they copied rusko, so i was annoyed and left to go for a piss)
Them Crooked Vultures (I guessed they would be the secret set, bonanza)
Ian Brown
Maximo Park
The Prodigy (worst decision of my life)
Arctic Monkeys

Sunday
Noah and The Whale (only caught Blue Skies though)
The xx
the end of Frank Turner’s set luckily
Metronomy
Passion Pit
Vampire Weekend
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Bloc Party
RADIOHEAD – best ender ever.

S0 28 in total

I will be doing a proper review, probably three big posts to summarise each day, after I get my photographs developed, which should be in less than a week or so. I used my Lomo fisheye camera, so hopefully I’ve got some good photos.

Metronomy – On The Motorway
I’ll leave you this song, Metronomy were definitely one of the highlights providing a perfect live set, that suited the NME tent to a tee, brilliant beats and a dare-I-say-it, album surpassing live act!

haha I was just teaching some kids today that we all need to move back to England because America has bastardized the English language. this rant was instigated by a schedule I saw which had the word “grammer”. you don’t understand how much it killed me to see grammar misspelled WHEN TRYING TO RELAY A GRAMMAR LESSON.

Arctic Monkeys in two weeks for me!
