tom vek – broke (kwes rework)

tom vek’s luck is easily one of the best records released this year, and “broke”, a highlight track, recently received a dial-up like rework from warp man kwes. as dummy point out, kwes really hammers hard on lyric, repeating and isolating it; “You’re turning out like your dad.” a subconscious dig or nagging fear, if anything, that some of y’all twenty-somethings will understand.
