UNGIRTHED
You’ve probably been underneath a rock for the last few months or so if you haven’t heard Purity Ring’s “Ungirthed”, the single they released on the ever-brilliant Transparent, a song so addictive and downright outstanding that I think finding it hard to resist is a bit of an understatement. Yeah, so why am I bringing it up now? The incredibly limited 7″ single (that I was lucky enough to snag a copy of) is already well and truly sold out and the track has more than certainly circulated around a bit. The reason is Sun Glitters have only gone and done a remix for it haven’t they? Taking the relentlessly upbeat and transcendent track and making it into some kind of ethereal fright-inducing bass-heavy anthem must have been no easy feat but Sun Glitters have pulled it off, ending up with a distinct track that still harks back to its source.
